Historicon 2010 After Action Report
Boston Trained Bands had a great time at Historicon 2010! The new location at Valley Forge Convention Center saved some travel time and provides an improved gaming area, the lighting was good and the acoustics in the main hall reduced the noise (so I did not end up losing my voice!). Some highlights were Chris becoming the Pirate King in Duke's Golden Age of Pirates game and Kurt being super sleuth or master criminal (not sure which) in the Pulp Museum game. Austin ran a successful eastern front WWII game based on the Battle of Kursk with terrain that really fit with micro armor tanks. Pete English's Midnight Zombie game was interesting if surreal with Chris being the teenage girl! We continued to gather a group of gamers who look for and sign up for our games, we had two return players from last year and three gamers who participated in our Friday Historicon 2010 games showed up for the Battle of the Dunes.
The Club was awarded our second PELA for the the Battle of the Dunes and we received the Best In Show Award 2009 for Bunker Hill!
Hope to see every one next year work has already started on planning the club project.
