Battle of Wartenburg 1813

Whereas Bernadotte hesitated to cross the Elbe River, Blucher and his Army of Silesia crossed at Elster in front of Wartenburg. The zone was defended by the Bertrand’s IV corps (severely mauled at Dennewitz) and formed a sort of natural fortress, being a flat alluvial plain intersected by dikes, ditches and marshes.

The First Battle of Sacket's Harbor 1812 Naval

The First Battle of Sacket's Harbor was a naval battle fought on July 19, 1812, between the American and British naval forces that resulted in the American forces repelling the attack on their town and the shipbuilding yard located there.

UmmQasr, Iraq March 22, 2003

Elements of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) entered the port city of Umm Qasr to secure the port facilities. On March 22, at an administrationbuilding near the harbor, a patrol got into a small firefight that quickly became an intense gun battle as Marines sought to surround and eliminate the enemy threat.
